Job Description:

IEA Corp., an EverWatch company is in search of a Strategic Engagement Action Officer to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security in Arlington, VA. The Strategic Engagement Action Officer will support research and development and will:

  • Conduct research, planning, development, and implementation of new strategic engagement programs that combine disciplines, operations, activities, and investments intended to influence foreign audiences.
  • Develop new concepts, products, and solutions for innovative future strategic engagement efforts within OUSD(I&S), the IC, and DoD.
  • Develop OSD staffing packages that include time-sensitive requirements for senior leadership approval to include the Secretary of Defense and National Security Council.
  • Provide research and recommendations for the development of policy for senior decision maker’s consideration and gathering information that assists senior leadership in monitoring policy compliance.
  • Develop and coordinate staff packages to enable strategic engagement synchronization and coordination efforts within DoD and across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Defense Community.
  • Research, Coordinate and synchronize special access capabilities and other sensitive activities to provide enhanced operational integration and collaboration.
  • Provide IC and Defense Community expertise to inform decision making, integration, and analysis as appropriate.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience within this functional area and experience on a major staff or Intelligence Agency, e.g. OSD, Joint Staff, Service Staff, Defense Agency or Combatant Command Staff.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Skills and Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience with sensitive operations and mission integration. Experience shall include:
    Supporting the Intelligence Enterprise and the organizations and missions of OUSD(I&S), the Director National Intelligence (DNI), Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Services, Defense Agencies, and/or the DoD IC.
  • Policy development, program oversight/guidance, capabilities development and resourcing requirements.
    Prepare staff actions with stated positions to advise and provide recommendations to senior leadership within the OUSD(I&S) and the Secretary of Defense.
