Job Description:

Ian, Evan & Alexander Corporation is in search of a CI Policy Oversight and Assessments SME in Arlington, VA. The SME will be responsible for the following:

  • Work with senior CI&FLES Division personnel to perform CI policy oversight for all 27 DoD components with an organic CI capability.
  • Coordinates and conducts liaison with these components to establish a plan of action to ensure they are assessed on schedule on their degree of compliance with all 24 DoD CI policy issuances.
  • When deficiencies in compliance are uncovered, makes recommendations to senior component personnel on measures to bring the component into compliance.
  • Prepares written reports on the results of each assessment and follows up with each component to evaluate progress in addressing and ameliorating deficiencies in compliance.
  • Assesses each component for CI best practices, and ensures these are identified to senior OUSD(I) leadership and are promulgated DoD wide to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the DoD CI enterprise.
  • Researches and drafts responses to questions related to Defense CI issues for senior DoD officials and other DoD stakeholders.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and overseeing CI policy programs and experience as a staff action officer on an OSD, JCS, or Military Department headquarters staff.
  • Experience conducting the CI functions of Investigations, Operations, Collection, Analysis and Production and Functional Services within the Department and have an expert knowledge of all Departmental issuances governing the conduct of these CI functions.
  • Experience working within or closely with Army CI, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, or the Naval Criminal Investigative Service relating to the CI mission.
  • Experience working with the FBI and be knowledgeable of agreements between the FBI and the Department relating to CI activities.
  • An undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
