Job Description:

IEA, an EverWatch company is in search of an Operations Support Assistant in Falls Church, VA.

  • The Operations Support Assistant’s (OSA) main job function will be to set meeting rooms according to the schedule of events listing meeting room requirements mainly at the Gatehouse Road location and DHHQ.
  • They will also be responsible for receiving feedback and responding to requests from meeting planners and communicating needs to their supervisor, other contractors or satisfying their requests if they can.
  • OSA’s will also be responsible for training on basic AV/IT equipment and responding to guest requests for assistance with trouble shooting equipment in the meeting rooms including IT, phone and AV.
  • Have meeting rooms set and ready 1 hour prior to start of event according to schedule of Event details.

  • Maintain meeting planner and guest satisfaction by quickly responding to requests and needs and effectively satisfying the request and/or resolving the problem or reporting to immediate supervisor the issue for assistance.

  • Have a working knowledge of all AV/IT equipment and be able to be first level response and assist on trouble shooting technical issues with equipment.

  • Ensure the cleanliness of function rooms by completing spot cleaning on your own, or informing custodial/facilities staff of work needed to be done beyond required scope of work.

  • Create a positive work environment with other associates, managers and other meeting vendors to ensure associate satisfaction as well as meeting planner satisfaction with a "can do" attitude.


  • Report any defects in building operations and or meeting equipment including AV/IT.

  • Work with managers to complete daily opening or closing checklists and ensure all meeting rooms are set and secured for the next shift.

  • Attend meetings as needed to include but not limited to pre-shift briefings and daily vendor meetings.

  • Effectively manage change communication to maintain proper response to meeting planner requests.

  • Maintain an effective relationship with the management team to ensure a seamless and effective operation.

  • Make recommendations in processes and operations to improve efficiency and communication between departments.

  • Respond to all reasonable requests by management not outlined in above tasks.

  • Any request you are unable to handle on your own needs to be reported to another vendor for resolution or to your


  • Complete "no show" process daily.

  • Learn the TMS process for checking space availability or confirming meeting rooms for clients.

Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and be able to move meeting furniture from various locations and types of rooms sets
  • Able to speak, write and read English
  • Able to interact with meeting planners without hesitation
