Job Description:

IEA Corp, an EverWatch company is in search of a Human Resources Director in Ashburn, VA. The Human Resources Director will oversee and manage the HR function in our corporate office and will be directly responsible for implementation of IEA’s Human Capital strategy. As a consult to leadership, employees and cross-functional groups, the HR Director will provide HR support to accomplish client, organizational and corporate objectives.


  • Advise senior management on matters of compliance, including FLSA classifications, OFCCP compliance, EEO, Vets 100A, and Affirmative Action Plan
  • Drive initiatives in the areas of change management, cultural alignment, employee relations, compliance, organizational learning and development, performance management, benefits design, and compensation management
  • Administration and renewal of corporate insurance policies (Property & Casualty, Worker’s Compensation, DBA General Liability, etc.)
  • Oversees performance management, training and professional development
  • Will ensure leadership and employees are informed of the HR policies and practices, programs and proposed changes that affect employees and/or operational effectiveness, utilizing excellent communication skills which are critical for this role.
  • Will support our leadership in all facets of developing appropriate human resources plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Will continually stay abreast of growing regulatory and political changes that impact compliance needs placed on the business
  • Benefit plan audits and annual 5500 filings

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, Master’s preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard Human Resources functions and local/federal requirements relative to employment laws and practices
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience, including:
  • Comparable size organization (300-500 active employees)
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Strategic Planning
  • Strong experience with HR systems including implementing, maintaining and optimizing
  • Works well providing leadership and as a team member. This position is very hands on and requires someone who is self-motivated and works well in a team environment. Must be able to interact with and influence management and contributors at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the government contracting industry and understanding of management principles, practices, methods and techniques, and skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relationships with employees, operations staff, vendors, and brokers.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
