Job Description:

Ian, Evan & Alexander Corporation (IEA) is in search of a SME II (Defense Analysis Support) to support OUDS(I) in Arlington, VA. The SME II is responsible for the following:

  • Formulate, prepare, and coordinate DoD Directives, Instructions, and other policy memoranda relating to all-source analysis and foreign partnership engagement.
  • Develop DoD policy for intelligence and intelligence-related activities associated with analytic issues relative to all-source analysis, foreign disclosure requirements, and intelligence sharing with foreign partners.
  • Initiate and conduct DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) policy briefings and meetings on matters pertaining to all aspects of all-source analysis and foreign partnership engagement.
  • Assist in the framing of intelligence policy issues for the Secretary of Defense Planning Guidance, the Defense Intelligence Strategy, and the Consolidated Intelligence Guidance.
  • Review analytic and foreign partnership engagement requirements, plans, transformation roadmaps and goals (mid-term and long-term) for policy implications and consistency with long range Department efforts.
  • Assist with oversight and assessment of all-source analysis and foreign partnership issues and mission areas of importance to DoD.Support the Director, DA&PE, DDI(I&S), and USD(I) on DoD, IC and inter-agency boards, committees, steering or working groups, conferences, with congressional staffs or other meetings relevant to all-source analysis and foreign partnership engagement related activities, policy and program matters.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Defense Intelligence Enterprise working analytic and/or foreign partnership engagement issues.
  • Significant knowledge and experience as an intelligence professional and worked in positions requiring an understanding of DoD strategic and operational intelligence.
  • Must possess experience researching and writing finished intelligence products and policy for the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the IC.
  • Significant writing and verbal communication skills.
  • It is imperative the SME possess the ability to write concise and grammatically sound under time constrained requirements for senior officials.
  • Requires an undergraduate college degree, with a graduate degree preferred.
  • Direct experience working intelligence analysis requirements from the Combatant Commands, the Defense Agencies, and the Military Departments and working knowledge of DoD foreign partnership engagement strategies and policy.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
