Job Description:

Ian, Evan & Alexander Corporation (IEA) is in search of a Security Specialist to support the Air Force in Fairfax, VA.

The Security Specialist shall support the CDM Security Office within the National Capital Region (NCR) facilities program activities within SCIFs or SAPFs while implementing the DoD NISPOM as the baseline for daily security administration. The position is the SME for all COMSEC requirements to meet mission needs. Monthly support for COMSEC is estimated at a ratio of 30% of the workload. The contractor shall create, review, update and maintain contract documents, program security classification guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), AISSP and Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254) to ensure security requirements and classification guidance are specified and properly implemented. The contractor shall also be responsible for the following duties:

Within 45 days of being assigned, be familiar with local Security Guidance, SCIF SOPs,

Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and opening/closing of facilities

Perform a broad range of local security actions

- Ensure the protection of national security information by actively working with Government Program Manager (PM), SSO and other CDM Security Support personnel to identify and address daily contractual, personnel, physical, AIS and SCI/SAP administration issues in accordance with NISPOM when it involves Tier determinations, and M-1 policy/procedures

- Maintain appropriate records of completed CDM SCIF semi-annual alarm testing/response force test, annual self-inspections, security refresher training, random searches, combination changes, receipts and external facilities locations, accreditations, indoctrinations, inspections/staff assistance visits and Close-out information

- Assist in the development of OPSEC, test, movement and transitioning plans

- Participate in Program Reviews and assist the Government PM with preparation of scheduled Special Access Program Oversight Committee (SAPCO) reports

- Ensures proper classification markings, wrapping, handling, couriering, accountability, destruction, and records maintenance/disposition of all classified information

- Approve movement of all items into and out of a CDM SCIF to include electronic equipment, furniture, automated data processing equipment (ADPE) and storage media

- Investigate and report all security violations except those involving the employee’s company. Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level advice and reports, as tasked, on topics that include, but not limited to:

- Program Access Request (PAR) processing

- Security Classification Guidance (SCG), creation, review and updating

- Classification, downgrading, declassification and public release of information

- Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP)

- Information management

- Facility/AIS accreditations

- Physical & Personnel Security

- Communication Security (COMSEC)

- Program Protection Plans (PPP)

- Operation Security (OPSEC)

- Counter-Intelligence (CI), cover stories, storage, control and/or accountability

- Transmission, couriering, DD-254, Co-Use Agreements (CUAs), concept validations - Visitor/access control

- Security education, training and awareness program support and indoctrination/debriefing of personnel

Experience and Skills:

  • Five years of related experience
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
