Job Description:

  • Tier 1 and 2 support of classified and unclassified networks.
  • Provide service support for Microsoft Office products, database applications and a variety of engineering applications and peripherals.
  • Provide training and assistance to newly hired IT employees for IT security, utilization of networks, computers and peripherals such as scanners and printers.
  • Install and update software, hardware, Microsoft critical updates and service packs.
  • Evaluates and supports computers and various printer, graphics and storage applications involving installations, upgrades, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of software utilized by OBO/REM/EX/IRM/NOMB.
  • Verifies compatibility with new operating systems as they are released and utilized within the organization.
  • Creates, tests, and approves images for workstation replacements and updates utilizing imaging software.
  • Prepares new computers for delivery and deployment by creating standard software loads and installing the load on PCs.
  • Oversees back up and file restoration of servers.
  • Proficiently fields service desk requests in support of software, hardware and communications issues via telephone calls and email communication systems.
  • Works closely with manufacturers and/or vendors to expedite repair and/or updates for computers.
  • The candidate will draft and finalize SOP documents and provide ticket reports to management team.

Experience and Skills:

  • Three years of service desk experience supporting classified and unclassified environments.
  • Secret clearance, but must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
